Licensing – changes to stake and prize limits for gaming machines

The Categories of Gaming Machines (Amendment) Regulations 2014 came into force on 15 January 2014. Stake and prize limits for all categories of machine except B2 were increased. Most notably, the maximum prize for a category C machine has increased to £100 which should please the gaming industry. And for those of us who like a trip down memory lane to the seaside arcades, good news – he maximum prize for penny pusher and penny fall machines has been increased to £20 (of which £10 must be a non-money prize).
